Courses are open to anyone wishing to approach this practice, regardless of age. They are suitable for both beginners and advanced students, men and women alike.
The first five lessons
focus on learning how to receive tea. After that, students are introduced to the use of some utensils, followed by the study of tea preparation itself—an art that may take many years of apprenticeship to master.
New participants may join at any time, as beginners and advanced students practise together in the same class.
Before enrolling, you are welcome to approach this art through an introductory workshop, which is strongly recommended.
During the workshop, in the first part, you will learn how to receive and drink a bowl of tea. Afterwards, you will enter the tea room, observe how tea is prepared, and enjoy a bowl of tea served with a traditional Japanese "wagashi" sweet.
To attend the trial workshop, please reserve your place at least 3 days in advance.
You may submit your request using the form below or by calling +39 349 817 4257.
Those who wish may receive official certification from the Omotesenke school in Japan, after passing the required evaluations, at the discretion of the teacher.
Lessons take place on Saturday afternoons or Monday mornings.
